Emergency Credit You can activate the Emergency Credit (£2.00) when the credit shown on the meter is below £1.00. Emergency credit is available if the orange E/Credit light '4' is flashing. To activate Emergency credit just press the button '6' at the bottom of the meter, if the credit is below £0.00 the supply will be reconnected. The meter display will alternate between the Credit Balance -BAL and remaining Emergency Credit --1 available before disconnection. Once the Emergency credit has been used up, the entire balance due will have to be repaid before your supply can be reconnected. If you aren’t able to get to your local outlet to top up your credit and you’re running low or about to run out don’t worry we’ve got you covered. You can use emergency credit to make sure you don’t run out of energy. You can get up to £10 of emergency credit on your electricity meter and £5 emergency credit on your gas meter. To activate your emergency credit on your electricity meter: • Put your key into the meter. • Press the blue button to accept emergency credit when asked (you can only do this when your credit is below £1). • To see how much emergency credit needs to be repaid check the B screen. The amount you owe will be repaid the next time you top up your credit. To activate your emergency credit on your gas meter: • Pop your card into your meter and make sure all of your gas appliances are switched off. • Your display will ask you to press BUTTON A to accept the emergency credit. • Press red Button A and then your emergency credit is ready to use. • Press red Button A twice to see how much credit you need to pay back. You won’t have to pay any extra charges for using emergency credit but daily standing charges may still apply.
